Thank you very much for your interest in my art, and think on me as artist for a commission.
I usually do the commissions in A3 size (29.7×42 cm; about 11.70×16.53 inches, a format similar to a comic page or comic book cover), in ink with or without a wash or dry brush technique (both for give effects and tonalities; even in color (traditional or digital).
Smaller formats like A4 (11.7×8.3 in) or A5 (8.3×5.8 in) means lower prices. Please, check my Instagram for orientation prices for commissions and shipping services on pasts commissions opening posts.
The process begins with the client submitting the requirements for the job and is presented with some sketches (usually 1-4), from which he chooses the one he likes the most and which will be worked on, showing progress of the process. In the sketching phase, once the desired one has been selected, the details and final changes are finalized, and in the inking phase, changes are usually no longer made because everything has been sketched.
The cost for an original commission of A3 size (comic standard approximately) made in black and white with ink technique is usually € 150 + shipping costs from Spain if you want it on physical format.
To add color (traditional or digital) adds more price to the commission. Please ask for pricing if you’re interested on a color commission.
If you only want the illustration in digital format, a high resolution TIFF file is delivered for printing (at the printing company of your choice in your country), by email or with a link for download. In this case, a commission on A3 with the same techniques would be around € 100.
For shipping, if there is no framing to be done (which increases the costs considerably, being higher than the work itself), I send the illustration in a stiff cardboard tube, which is much better than a padded envelope. Lately I’m using a hard cardboard folder, inside a bubble envelope or a suitable box, shipping costs in addition to the cost of the illustration. Costs vary by country, I would have to check with my post office.
If shipping by transport company is desired, I normally use Fedex, which I work with for international shipments because of the security and good results they have given me over the years. If you want this type of service, you have to add the cost of shipping to the client’s country to the commission price.
Payment is normally made through PayPal.
Both commissions grant the client the right of reproduction for their own use (print it to have it in physical format if they have chosen the digital option), not being able to make copies for sale or inclusion in books or other formats without the author’s authorisation.
